Feminist Dialogue provides a space that inspires discussion around feminist topics unaddressed in generations past. A full-frontal feminist organization, our community hosts events that facilitate and encourage engagement with sometimes uncomfortable and always timely questions around race, individualism vs. communalism, abortion and reproductive justice, religion, dating, parenthood, and more. We seek diversity in perspective, experience, and thought, mindful that equality is dependent on empowerment through knowledge sharing, listening, and addressing difficult subjects with civility. / At the moment, our programming is held mostly in New York City and Washington, DC. Expansion is on the horizon, however.

Each month, Feminist Dialogue gathers for The Hive, a feminist salon series hosted by a member of our community. This intimate event is held in private homes and features brunch and a facilitated discussion.
Men and women are both very welcome, as are semi-, anti-, and largely unknowing-feminists. These events are decidedly warm and inviting; however, they do not shy away from disarming prickly topics such as racism and structural inequality within the feminist movement, rape culture, street harassment, and motherhood, to name a few.

2014 will be a groundbreaking year for Feminism in New York. Inspired by a similar event in London, this one-day conference will illuminate trending issues, activists, and organizations in the feminist movement today. Speakers and workshops will be noticeably grassroots, and the conference will offer a number of scholarship opportunities as an avenue of accessibility for those that cannot afford ticket prices.
In an effort to reclaim and rebrand the movement, Feminism in New York 2014 will center around the theme of rebranding feminism as accurately inclusive, diverse, and boundary pushing.
